I managed to take this quick snap out of my office window first thing this morning, before the clouds moved aside and the rainbow disappeared.

Although not very clear, it is actually a double rainbow and seemed much brighter to the eye than the camera was able to capture. I thought it made quite a contrast with the ugliness of the ‘posteriors’ of the buildings below (to borrow a phrase that Maria used in her recent moment about ‘The Blue Apartment Block’).
