I’ve lived near this statue for almost six years. I have a recurring dream of returning to find everything in ruins, with this buried to the neck as the Statue of Liberty in a local retelling of Planet of the Apes. The neighbors have asked me to stop screaming “You blew it up” in the street after 6 pm.
