It’s 4 in the morning. How did I get into this?
I don’t sleep at night. It’s not intentional or anything like that. It’s more like… I’m a vampire but without the blood drinking.
My internal clock just turns on around 10 PM. Something in me just sparks to life and I’m ready to go. I can finally think clearly, I’m energized, I’ve got ideas, ambitions, enthusiasm.
Of course, I’m supposed to be sleeping because I have to get up in the morning. Which leads to… a complete lack of all those good qualities during the day. Trying to get something done? Nope, I can’t focus. I can’t keep my eyes open.
Do NOT talk to me until I’ve had some coffee.
Is there a PMS for caffeination? And can we start using that as a legitimate excuse?
Coffee seems to be wearing off on me however. So that’s another problem to add to my ever-expanding list. I don’t have solutions, just more problems.
But the nighttime? Ahhh, I love it. The cool air. The stars. The quiet zen after everyone else has gone to bed. I like going for night walks, usually to the 7-11 to buy snacks or something, but I should try going to the park.
I’d be the most romantic boyfriend ever if I could find someone who didn’t mind not being a person.
My idea of a date is sneaking onto a golf course at night, lighting a bunch of sparklers and running around with them, and then laying on the grass (with a blanket, of course) and looking at constellations. Oh, and hot chocolate. Maybe we’ll discuss philosophy or something.
But you should probably leave after that and not talk to me in the morning. You don’t want to date Godzilla do you?
By the way, I’m so excited for the new Godzilla movie I could pee.
I want to live in a city that embraces the night life. A city that loves food and company and debate and discussion and wine. Mostly wine.
Because then maybe I’d be able to stay awake long enough to care about anything.
