So long Banff, and thanks for the mountains — Tunnel and Sulphur and the others of which I never bothered to learn the names. And thanks for the buffet breakfast, lunches, and dinners, although none of us could stomach it after a week. And thanks for the weather — mostly clear, crisp, sunny days teetering between spring and whatever it is summer might be like here. And for the endless days, where even after walking out of an evening showing of a bad movie at the only theater around, the town is still lit up like late afternoon.
Though, I have to admit — I expected more maple syrup.
