I went to a great talk by the photographer, Phil Maxwell, on his recently published photobook, Brick Lane at Waterstones Piccadilly this evening.

I loved hearing him talk about street photography and what inspires his photos. There is definitely great synergy between his work and that of the Spitalfields Life blog (who published his book) - a celebration of the fascinating lives and stories of ordinary people and ordinary life.

And as I came out of the talk, the perfect photo opportunity of street life in London.
