People say the French are rude. I’m not sure they deserve this reputation—they’re just more honest. If they don’t like you than they simply never talk to you. If they do than they always try to make you feel welcome and included. How many times have you made plans for coffee or a night out that were just empty words? You never intended to follow up on them. In France these are never empty words.
The girl photographed above went out of her way to show me around Paris, bringing me to museums(like the Pompidou in the photo) and bars. She was from Bordeaux and knew what it was like to be the outsider in a tough city. One person can make your time in a city better.
