Made me think a lot about courage and insanity and how the two are not much different

October 7th, 2013, 11am

It was 21.1°C with few clouds. The breeze was gentle.

I’ve always been impressed by Chris Guillebeau. When I saw his offer in Quarterly I pretty much jumped into it.

The tube has a hand printed lithography of the idea character (Japanese, I think), the bookmark is of Hong Kong’s skyline, that is a big ass real fortune cookie, the book is self explanatory, the blue envelope has Chris’ explanation of everything else in the package.

I’m going through transitions, emotional, physical and of other kinds. Don’t know if I’m ready for the change coming up but I’ll be damned if I’m going to

The title of the book struck a chord; I’ve always been afraid of change but, until recently, dreaded change because I didn’t feel like I was ready rather than accept the fact that ism cared to death.

Some people tell me I’m crazy to leave such a good paying job (not google) and some tell me they wish they could just take the leap and that it’s a brave thing to do.

Where is the line between courage and insanity? When do you know it’s one or the other? The 4 things in the picture remind me it’s a matter of perspective and that the only perspective that matter is mine
