It has taken me quite a while to be able to get a photograph of this particular Bloomsbury Book Bench in the right light! Its positioning means that in the hot sunny weather we’ve been having over the past couple of weeks, lunchtime has been no good because part of the bench is too dark while the rest is too bright. So this morning I dashed there first thing, before starting work, and thankfully the lighting at 7.30am is just right!
This bench represents the Agatha Christie story Hercule Poirot and the Greenshore Folly, which actually only appeared in print this year, 60 years after it was written!
The artwork was designed by Tom Adams and painted by Mandii Pope.
