The windows frame a comic strip that runs along the platform. A city skyline, a bridge, a boat, a skyscraper. The prefect setting for a hero’s story. All it needs is the small figure in the sky with arm outstretched or a dark shape mid-air leaping for a building, “Whoosh!” I hear behind me, but the gentle rush of air is only the train doors closing. The train vibrates into action and pulls away from the platform. I watch each frame slide away from me, the image of a captured metropolis now chugging into life.
