Our son came down for breakfast and asked “Why is dad so loud?”
I told him it wasn’t Ed’s fault but rather the fault of those who didn’t support Tesla in his attempt to create clean and quiet energy and therefore Ed’s chainsaw was loud. (He’s dealing with the last of the trees while it’s warm enough to do so.)
I then sat down with some tea to start reading Polanyi’s book. But our tenants next door who are indie rock musicians decided it was time to noodle around on their synthesizer.
Cageian that I am, I tried to enjoy the cacophony but apparently I require silence to read post-critical philosophy.
