My kinda Sunday

September 29th, 2013, 11am

It was 12.2°C with overcast. The breeze was gentle.

Safe and warm (and out of the crazy rain!) in the corner of a cozy little lobby. I hear cocktail shakers to my left, the click, click, clicks of coffee grinders to my right.

Oh, the coffee! A smile of satisfaction after the first sip—another perfect cappuccino.

Nothing on my to-do list except spend my last two hours in a giant bookstore before it’s time to catch my flight.

Perfectly lonely.

Everyone else in the lobby seems to feel the same; even the cute concierge is deep in thought. But the work is done, the papers are read, the Stumptown is sipped.

I need more Sundays like this.

Cassie, Paul, Craig, David Wade and 4 others said thanks.
