Safe and warm (and out of the crazy rain!) in the corner of a cozy little lobby. I hear cocktail shakers to my left, the click, click, clicks of coffee grinders to my right.
Oh, the coffee! A smile of satisfaction after the first sip—another perfect cappuccino.
Nothing on my to-do list except spend my last two hours in a giant bookstore before it’s time to catch my flight.
Perfectly lonely.
Everyone else in the lobby seems to feel the same; even the cute concierge is deep in thought. But the work is done, the papers are read, the Stumptown is sipped.
I need more Sundays like this.
