Almost my final moment about The Bloomsbury Book Benches (they added an outlier to this group very late in the day!), this bench represents what must be Oscar Wilde’s most well-known play, The Importance of Being Earnest, written in 1894 and first performed the year after.

The artist, Trevor Skempton, uses a style that I must admit I don’t find as appealing as some, but he certainly captures the play well.
