Don’t get me wrong. I’m not anti-Christmas, far from it. I’m a Christian after all, so Christmas is a highly significant time for me. An opportunity to remember with thanksgiving the incarnation, the birth of my Saviour.
Nor am I anti advent calendars, especially not ones with chocolate in!
But why do the shops have to start selling these at the beginning of October?! There are far too many other things to fit in before that even appears on my radar.
Surely no-one is organised enough to be buying these now, are they?
What’s that? They are??
Oh.
Well I’m sorry, but I’m not. And I’m not happy about the shops making me feel I should be.
Just sayin’.
