Running out to grab lunch on October 3, the unmistakable summer haze still hangs over the city for what will probably be the last time of the year. Although most of the city has transitioned to their fall clothing, the sun beating down this afternoon reminds us of the past couple months. This summer brought the nicest weather in my memory. Perhaps it was a purgatory after the hellish spring on Boylston Street.
This little heat wave is a nice escape from the oncoming calm melancholy of autumn. As the seasons change once again, Bostonians shed their quarterly cocoons to reemerge as someone just a little different.
