The last two days of my #100happydays project and the last two days of hi.co, where I’ve managed to write over 21,000 words, and once the project has finished, 246 moments, in 28 cities. That’s a lot of words, a lot of stories and a lot of travels! It’s quite a feat, and I’m actually really proud seeing all this data. I’ve had two #100happydays projects since joining in August 2013, and it now feels odd if I havent taken a photo a day. I see stories everywhere now, and my brain is constantly writing lines once I’ve taken a picture. I hope to continue to keep writing, and to keep with these creative projects and ventures.
And my photo is my favourite of the 244 moments, taken in China, in my Dad’s childhood village. Work took me to Shenzhen and my Dad had written down the addresses of his and Mum’s village, in the hope I might have some time to visit. Our driver was impressed with my accent and language ability and delighted in taking me there. It has changed a lot since - the once small fishing village has turned into a small metropolis, with the odd random mattress removal on a bike!
(I shall post my last moment at one minute past midnight, so 1st September in the UK, but still 31 August on the west coast of America in the hope that it still counts as part of the project and archive! And to grab my archive of the complete project - I’m a perfectionist and like things to be just right and exact!)
