You can’t buy fresh shiso in Saskatoon so we grow our own. There’s a risk of frost tonight and it’s going down to -3C tomorrow night so we’re harvesting our small garden.
Some of these leaves will be brined and others will be ground up and frozen. This is the first year we’ve had buds on our shiso so we’ll dry the seeds and have them in our ochazuke.
