I cannot understand how hard is to make a decision that can change your life, but how easy is to make a mistake that changes everything around. Since October I’ve been unemployed, I’ve been surviving with the money they gave me for my time of work in that company, even though they fired me because I made a mistake and without mercy, I’ve got some money for these months. However, money is not going to last for ever, and now everything is getting quite complicated. I have to pay debts, university, and liabilities in general and every day that passes by it is driving me mad. Nowadays labour it’s a matter of life and dead; you can be living in a first world country or in a third one. Finding a job isn’t easy at all. Here is where I think how stupid I was, and how easy that mistake I made changed everything I had planned. Moreover, everything happened so fast, I was totally down and unconscious about the repercussions that mistake would bring to my life. Yes, it’s true that I wasn’t in the best mood, but that doesn’t excuse the silly reaction in my work that finished costing me my job. If I start to wonder, how hard is to make a decision, because you have to, that may change your entire life, and how easy is screwing up everything so fast, reinforces my theory that ‘If there are gods anywhere, they’re so bastards’. I think about those moments where you know something is going to happen, and you actually think twice what you’re going to do, you actually feel fear, and that decision isn’t taken right away, it takes you days, weeks, and months and in some cases requires you to think about a whole year. In addition, you do that because you know that it may be the moment of true, or everything in your life goes as you expected, or you just go down to hell. It gives you the necessarily moment to calculate everything like consequences, positive and negative that represents you a really valuable time to get prepared for the best or the worst. But in the other hand, those mistakes happens in just seconds, you don’t actually have time to do anything, the mistake takes place in your life want it or not. Moreover, everything you would have done if you just got the change will happen, yes it will, but not to give you time to prepare yourself, but to regret. To counteract this, I think there’s only one way, and it is KNOWLEDGE. Knowledge of your pros and cons, of your mood, your words. Knowledge to stop and think.
