Thank You

April 11th, 2014, 10pm

Some days you have a bad day. Some days just one person seems to close the world in on you. They pull down the stones and everything collapses till all you can feel is the cold echo of emptiness all around. I got turned around in this darkness, lost and trapped till the narrow whistle of a long dark tunnel seems to laugh, “you’re never getting out.”

I needed to remember today. I needed to say thank you. Thank you for reminding me of what I’m striving for. Thank you for making me want to work that much harder. Be that much stronger. Go so much further.

Thank you for making me remember that this place is no place for sitting still. No place to crawl into a corner and tremble waiting for the coldness to seep into your bones.

Today I remember. I turn back to the dark small shrinking fingers clawing at me. I say “Thank you. Thank you for reminding me to run.”

Adrian, Christine and David Wade said thanks.
