One of the latest public spaces to open in central London is Pancras Square, part of the massive King’s Cross Central development. I wandered up there earlier in the week to take a look and liked what I saw, although the height and closeness of the buildings did make it a bit of a wind tunnel!
The principle features in this trapezoidal (not square!) space are two elongated waterfalls, where the ends (and side in one case) fall down into the surrounding pavement over what looks like beds of slate. Very nicely done, although a warm summer’s day might be a better time to admire this new space!
