My friend James met my husband and I in this very house we now live in back when we were just graduating from high school in 1989. The house was being rented by my now sister-in-law and through family connections and twists of fate we have ended up owning it.
James and his partner Marlo live in Calgary some of the time and in their van as much as they can. We see them about once a year and hang out and talk art, philosophy, metaphysics, and work.
Ana is the newest addition to their family, and though I am not usually a dog person, her quiet and calm demeanour has made me happy to have her hang out with us while the three of us humans drink many steepings Taiwanese High Mountain Oolong tea.
