I almost forgot to take a photo today! And the ones that I took, when I remembered, didn’t come out as it was dark and late. So, the photo was taken late last night on my walk home, but it’s not great - sorry!
However, it was a great day, meeting new people and being inspired and invigorated by humanity. E.M. Forster was on to something when he talked about ‘only connects’. It’s the connections you make that give life meaning.
And sights and smells refers to having popping candy again (or space rocks), in over 30 years. The sound and sensations took me back to my childhood. And as I was falling asleep, the heady fragrance from the honeysuckle on my balcony garden, wafted into my bedroom and filled my senses with memories of home, and my mum, collecting the flowers in childhood summers for tea.
