He stood on top of a genie machine
with a spray paint bottle
and a map in mind
•
he made crazy lines
& splattered on a wall
of dull shadows and brown bricks
•
I think; never
have I seen something
like it
before
•
I was sitting on clouds
thinking of how
I felt almost invisible to me,
but so visible in the letters he stroked
•
though, I was down here
and he was up there;
lifted himself off the ground
just like he’s done many time before.
•
I sat and gazed for almost two days between classes and commutes at this mural in the making.
It represented me;
It represented my culture and the building of bridges between people who believe and read and write in different languages.
It is a human artwork-
Surreal and present.
It is for the masses.
It is there for those curious minds and stale hearts.
It’s there for those with flattered emotions and a knot in their shoes.
It’s there for me.
It’s there for you.
And it’s there because Sam Houston once said;
Knowledge is the food of genius. So, my son, let not any opportunity escape you to treasure knowledge.

Oh oh oh it's magic

just do it

I've missed seeing the train on a daily basis. Living in the suburbs is better and not.
The view from the hammock. First sunny day in a while. Still chilly though.
