Day 71 #100HappyDays: Metropolis

May 21st, 2014, 10pm

A rather special evening: watching Fritz Lang’s ‘Metropolis’ at the world’s oldest surviving music hall, the beautiful and splendid Wilton’s Music Hall, with live score, composed and played by Dmytro Morykit. The music worked beautifully with the film, heightening and evoking drama and action.

The film might have been made in 1927, but it still felt modern and rather prophetic, especially 3D printing when the inventor created the Machine-Man (robot) in Maria’s image.

And on my way home, I went through Westminster tube station, which has always reminded me of the film!

Adrian said thanks.
