Just over 18 months ago I wrote a short moment about the Francis Crick Institute, under construction next to St Pancras Station. I reproduce below the photo I took then, to help give a better idea of the progress that has been made, which is quite considerable on the outside and I suspect much more so inside.
I’d love to see the view from inside that large central atrium area, but I have a feeling that this may not be open to the public. This is billed as a centre of excellence for biomedical research and I heard a rumour quite a while ago that some animal testing might be taking place here, which if true would definitely mean public access would be restricted, at best!
