We took to the bar’s corner, from where we could observe in silence. Hipster came, had a beer, stared at his smartphone, left again. Different guy took his place, clearly a regular, had a beer too and tried to chat up the bartenders. We observed no score, but no hard feelings either. The crew was efficient. We both had the same salad, because scientific observation asks for standards. It was delicious.
We observed two ants crawling up and down the side of a fridge positioned close to our observation point. We abstained from alerting pest control.
Observing ourselves, we found we loved each other.
Somebody named Miller was constantly threatening a genuine draft. Everybody seemed cool with that, so we had it down for local folklore, just like the ants.
When we left, we were filled with good food and relevant observations.
