It was 3°C with clouds and visibility OK. The breeze was light.

The taxi driver relied on energy drinks, but he was experienced and didn’t overdose. Just alert enough, he kept it smooth and real and convenient.

His car was also of help. Janis Joplin had such a problem getting her hands on one of these Benzes. No wonder politicians being chauffeured around in something like this feel smart & invincible, even when they’re dumber than a bag of hammers.

We passed my old school. I know for a fact there are people with fond memories of this building. Having never seen it from within you said something I can’t repeat here, because people would think I’m just telling stories.

I assumed the moon was full already, but you and the driver knew better.
