Day 61 #100HappyDays: Hot pants

May 11th, 2014, 5pm

A day view of one of my favourite views of London (see Day 57). After a grey day, the skies started to clear and the sun came out as a nod to the fantastic day I had.

I met up with a good friend for a girly shopping day. We lived together in Hong Kong and spent our Sundays either lying on our quiet beach or shopping for designer samples at Pedder Building. Our lives have changed a lot since those days, well, hers has more than mine. She’s a mum now so her time isn’t her own anymore. It was nice to have her full attention for a few hours, and we spent it laughing and being silly. She made me try on some ‘bling’ outfits, including a metallic jumpsuit and some shorts, which my friend affectionately called hot pants. I bought the hot pants (they are quite smart and sensible really - not in the Kylie-league that’s for sure!) So, every time I wear them this summer, it will take me back to this fun day out in London, being young and care-free.

Adrian, David Wade and Christine said thanks.
