Bedford Place is a great, er, place to visit if you want to see an almost unspoiled example of a Georgian street. Every property on both sides is Grade II listed! Built around 1815 by James Burton, the two terraces present an impressive united front, you might say, as you follow the window lines, balconies and roofs down the entire street.
Almost all the properties are now hotels and several examples of delightful doorsteps can be found among them, including the one above (and below), at number 7, which is on the east side of the road.
