The internet didn’t make any sense to me at first until I discovered aggregators and later on link blogs. I don’t want to say that’s when I saw the matrix…
London, and New York, and Tokyo, and any other large, ethnically-diverse city, does the same thing as all those disparate internet threads. It sparks the narrative engine in my mind, finding stories and characters out of art hanging in windows, small toys left in phone booths, books with their pages hollowed out and replaced by feathers.
They keep the brain wet.
