Different from all other human activities, the goal of mindfulness is one of non-doing. The purpose is for you to discover who you already are and for you to be yourself. So the paradox here is in order for you to reach your goal of achieving mindfulness, you must back off from striving for results and simply allow anything you experience from moment to moment to be here in the now. Not judging it, not getting attached to it and not trying to hold on to it. Just witnessing it for what it is, something called the true you.
