Skepticism, justified

We had been warned, right at the greenhouse’s entrance: beware of poison. And yet, and yet. These berries looked even tastier in reality: though my camera didn’t want to admit it, their color was more like come and get me blueberry blue. “You’re missin’ out”, they were whispering, “look at us: would we lie to you?” I stayed well clear of these, I might say, catholic berries. They probably were one of the more obvious reasons for that dire warning sign at the entrance.
