My train is several minutes earlier now to compensate for the leaf fall season.

September 30th, 2013, 6am

I don’t know if it’s just a British thing, but every autumn our train companies fiddle with the timetables slightly to allow longer journey times for the earliest trains, to compensate for the delays caused by leaves on the line.

So my train now leaves (no pun intended) 3 minutes earlier than usual, which means I have to get out of the house that bit earlier too. I won’t be getting up any earlier though - that would be too much!
