Mindfulness on Hermit Lake (Day Twenty-two) Sensations : your awareness of is different from actually being you.

Whether it’s pain and suffering or joy and happiness; your awareness of sensations, thoughts and feelings is different from the sensations, the thoughts and the feelings themselves. The ”awareness” part of you is not ruled by the likes and dislikes, ideas and opinions, or choices and refusals. Your goal is to step back from all sensations as a non-judgmental observer, separating the thoughts and feelings from the awareness of the knower.
